SLSU participates to International Conference on NiDS; one of the Best Paper Awardees
Southern Leyte State U recently participated to the International Conference on Novel & Intelligent Digital Systems (NiDS) held in Athens Greece from September 28-29, 2023, where one paper from SLSU was included to the three best paper awardees. The awarded paper was entitled 'Automated Coral Lifeform Classification Using YOLOv5: A Deep Learning Approach' authored by Jannie Fleur V. Oraño (Head, GISTC), Jerome Jack O. Napala (Research Specialist), Jonah Flor O. Maaghop (VSU Faculty), and Janrey C. Elecito (BS Information Technology Student).
The said International Conference is a prominent gathering for researchers and professionals on intelligent systems. NiDS focuses on promoting innovation and interdisciplinary collaboration, strongly emphasizing integrating AI into software development.
