SLSU participates to CHED RO8's 2nd IZN Conference

Southern Leyte State University joined CHED Region VIII's 2nd Internationalization Conference held on August 24, 2023, at Summit Hotel, Tacloban City. This participation aligns with celebrating the 56th Founding Anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

The theme for this year's conference," 2nd Internalization Conference: Lived Experiences of Faculty and Students under the Academic Mobility Program for the Internationalization Initiatives of Higher Education Institutions in Eastern Visayas," centered on the experiences of faculty and students participating in the Student and Faculty Mobility Program of HEIS.

SLSU delegate in the Student Mobility category, Ms. Thanja Janna Niña S. Mercado, shared her profound experience during the UMAP Discovery Camp Winter 2023: The GLOBE (Global Bound and Exchange Indonesia Experience.

Meanwhile, in the Faculty Mobility category, Ms. Vernabelle Balmori shared an insightful narrative of her experience through the presentation entitled "Living as a Graduate Student in Thailand: What is it like?"

Together with the two delegates was Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, the director of the External Linkages and International Affairs office. Their presence underscored the university's unwavering commitment to fostering global connections and learning exchanges.

As the event ends, SLSU will continue also its journey of global academic exploration, equipped with fresh perspectives and renewed dedication to shaping the future of higher education in Eastern Visayas and beyond borders.
