SLSU conducts Writeshop on the Revisit and Revision of SSC CBL

As part of its ongoing commitment to empowering student leadership and advancing governance structures, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) successfully held the two-day “Writeshop on the Revisit and Revision of the Constitution and By-Laws (CBL) of the Supreme Student Council” on August 4–5, 2025, at the SLSU Mini Theater. The activity brought together student leaders from all SLSU campuses for a focused and productive policy review.
To strengthen the technical and capacity-building elements of the writeshop, the university invited two distinguished resource speakers, Mr. Friedreik Esquierdo and Mr. Sanny Sarcilla Jr., who offered expert insights on leadership and governance frameworks. Their inputs played a key role in facilitating informed discussions and guiding the review process.
The event was notably supported by the presence of University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte and Vice President for Student and Auxiliary Services Dr. Marie Khul C. Langub. The activity was facilitated by Director of Student Affairs and Services Ms. Jessa Laarni B. Espinas, Head of Student Welfare and Services Ms. Nenita V. Flores, Head of Student Development Services Ms. Beverly Ann Isaga, and Head of Student Program Services Ms. Karen L. Molina, who ensured that the objectives of the writeshop were effectively achieved.
The writeshop served as a meaningful platform for collaborative evaluation of the SSC CBL, fostering transparency, accountability, and alignment with the evolving needs of the student body. The success of the activity marks a significant step toward more responsive and empowered student governance across all SLSU campuses.
