SLSU holds Successful Scholarship Contract Signing and Grant Releasing Ceremony

The Southern Leyte State University, in partnership with Mr. and Mrs. Leonardo L. Manalo, successfully conducted the Scholarship Contract Signing and Releasing of Scholarship Grant Ceremony on September 10, 2025, at the SLSU Board Room.
The event formalized the scholarship support for five deserving SLSU students, namely: Mark John D. Castillo, a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering student; Ashley Fiona F. Derigay, pursuing a Bachelor of Elementary Education; Lizza Mae C. Fronteras, from the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program; Kevin A. Operiano, also taking up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture; and Princess Mae R. Quiño, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering student.
To signify their acceptance of the grant and their commitment to academic excellence, the grantees officially signed their contracts. They also expressed gratitude to the Manalo family for providing access to quality education, and to the University for their unwavering support and for empowering future leaders.
During the event, Dr. Marie Khul C. Langub, the Vice President for Student Affairs and Services, highlighted the importance of collaboration in sustaining student welfare programs and expressed appreciation for the continued support that strengthens initiatives aimed at helping students succeed in their educational journey.
Also present during the ceremony were Ms. Gladys Pascual, Campus Director of Bontoc, the scholarship coordinators, Ms. Venus S. Radores, Head of Student Programs and Services, Ms. Nenita V. Flores, Head of Student Welfare and Services, and Ms. Jessa Laarni B. Espinas, Director of Student Affairs and Services.
Through the generosity of Mr. and Mrs. Manalo and the strong support of the University, the scholars are given not just financial assistance, but also hope and inspiration to excel in their chosen fields.
