SLSU–Sogod Earns TESDA Accreditation for Three Competency Assessment Centers

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) – Sogod Campus has been awarded three Certificates of Accreditation by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), reinforcing the University’s commitment to skills development, employability, and lifelong learning.

Issued through TESDA Southern Leyte under TESDA Region VIII, the accreditations recognize SLSU–Sogod as an Accredited Competency Assessment Center for Web Development NC III, Bread and Pastry Production NC II, and Events Management Services NC III.

All accreditations are valid from 18 December 2025 to 18 December 2027, authorizing the University to conduct official competency assessments and issue National Certificates (NCs) to qualified candidates.

The University acknowledges the dedicated efforts of Mr. Joedee Mark Rodriguez, Head of the Tech-Voc Unit, whose leadership and commitment were instrumental in securing these accreditations. These achievements further strengthen SLSU’s delivery of industry-aligned, competency-based certification pathways that complement its academic programs, micro-credential initiatives, and community extension services.
