SLSU-Maasin City Campus BS Social Work Program Granted Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC)
The Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW) program of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) - Maasin City Campus has achieved a significant milestone by being granted with the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). This prestigious certification was awarded on September 16, 2024 at the CHED Regional Office VIII in Tacloban City.
The Certificate of Program Compliance, signed and issued by CHED Regional Director Maximo C. Aljibe, Ph.D., DPM, CESO III, signifies that the BSSW program at SLSU-Maasin City Campus meets the rigorous standards set by CHED for higher education programs. This certification is a testament to the university’s commitment to delivering high-quality education and training to its students, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in social work.
Representing SLSU-Maasin City Campus at the awarding ceremony were several key university officials. The COPC was received by Dr. Constantino G. Medilo Jr., Vice President for Academic Affairs, alongside Dr. Frederick C. Aniga, Campus Director. Joining them were Faculty Dean Dr. Magdaleno T. Samaco Jr., Quality Assurance Head Dr. Lucia Estella Grace A. Abaa, and Planning Officer Juvenal F. Sumaya, MBA. Their presence at the event underscores the collaborative effort and dedication of the entire SLSU-Maasin academic community in achieving this recognition.
