SLSU-San Juan Campus launches Project ReInFORCE for civil service exam takers
Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus has launched an extension project titled “ReInFORCE: Reviewing Individual Foundations for Opportunities and Readiness in Civil Service Exam." Led by Mr. Krissanto Ray Moguies and Ms. Catherine M. Garcia, faculty members of the Business and Management Department, the project aims to enhance the readiness of local government unit (LGU) employees in San Juan, Southern Leyte, for the Civil Service Examination (CSE).
Commencing on April 20, 2024, and spanning two years, Project ReInFORCE is a collaboration among Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus, LGU San Juan, and the SLSU Alumni Association. It targets 25 male and 25 female participants, equipping them with essential skills and knowledge to increase their chances of passing the CSE.
The project integrates various teaching methods focused on numerical ability, analytical thinking, verbal skills, and CSE-specific knowledge. Participants engage in practice exams, intensive classes, and receive practical advice to effectively navigate the CSE.
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Project ReInFORCE emphasizes SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by ensuring equal opportunities and empowerment for all participants. It also supports SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by promoting inclusive employment and sustainable economic development through civil service eligibility.
This initiative underscores SLSU's commitment to community development and academic excellence, empowering LGU professionals to advance their careers in the public sector while promoting gender equality and fostering inclusive economic growth.
