Tomas Oppus campus extensionists implements PROJECT ARAL, assisting both DepEd Maasin City, Southern Leyte divisions
Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus Campus Extensionists along with the proponents of Project ARAL, Acculturation of Research in Advancing Learning, implemented the Project ARAL: Journal Layouting Workshop on November 14-15, 2022 to assist the Journal Management Teams of DepEd Division of Maasin City and DepEd Division of Southern Leyte in Journal Packaging and Journal Layouting.
The two-day event includes a journal layout and packaging workshop as well as journal presenting, critiquing, and compliance. Both divisions were able to draft their respective journals. The team from the Division of Maasin City was able to produce their Journal of Educational Management and Pedagogical Studies (JEMPS), and the team from the Division of Southern Leyte was able to print their Journal of Treasury of Understanding in Keeping with Innovations for Basic Education (TUKIB).
Each division's Chief Editor, Managing Editor, two Layout Artists, and Research Coordinators are involved in this effort.
The proponents, along with the Extension Office and core groups from each division, determined that it is best to proceed with Journal Packaging re: Journal Layout prior to the actual Journal Management Training to ensure that both Divisions have a physical journal published with their first issues – in time for MAEd Level IV Accreditation.
Such activity was attended by SLSU-TO extension specialists, Dr. Marvin S. Daguplo, Delia Beronio, Dana Lim, Lillian Balbon, Nancy B. Francisco, Sybill Krizzia G. Ledesma.
