HR office spearheads training on good housekeeping practice
The Office of the University Human Resource Management and Development (UHRMD) of Southern Leyte State University spearheaded the conduct of the training on Enhancing Occupational Health and Safety Performance through 5S Good Housekeeping Practices for the General Services and Physical Plant and Development Office personnel, and Job-Order Utility Workers from across the six campuses of the university.
The four-day activity includes lectures and workshops which were conducted every Wednesday of April 2022. The training seeks to update the competencies of the participants for them to significantly improve their performance, self-discipline, confidence, and respect for their job.
The Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Training is deemed necessary for the participants as part of good housekeeping and cleanliness practice as good housekeeping is the foundation of a safe and healthy workplace.
This initiative was made possible thru the coordination of the administrative offices of the five external campuses and Mr. Florencio Payac, Tech-Voc Coordinator of Southern Leyte State U, who served as the resource person. This is in line with the University’s goal which is to maximize the utilization of the university’s human and physical assets with resource generation potential.
