It is my privilege to welcome you, Students, to Southern Leyte State University for school year 2016-2017. Joining us this school year are nearly 10,000 students from the different municipalities of Southern Leyte and nearby provinces, drawn to SLSU by its myriad degree programs, outstanding faculty members and well-rounded student life. Rest assured that while in SLSU, you will be excited, challenged, supported and ultimately empowered by the faculty and the curriculum. Students get to experience programs geared towards producing Science and Technology Leaders and Professionals. We are also inspired by the impressive academic capacity and leadership ability that students bring with them to SLSU. We believe we can work together and positively harness your talents and skills. As students, always give your best in your endeavors with all your internal capabilities and external opportunities.
