SLSU Strengthens Collaboration with DILG Southern Leyte through Sub-LGRC Kapihan
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) extends its sincere gratitude to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Southern Leyte Provincial Office for providing the University a meaningful platform during the conduct of the Southern Leyte Sub-Local Governance Resource Center (Sub-LGRC) Kapihan on April 29, 2026, at the PIA Building, Combado, Maasin City.
The activity enabled SLSU to present its programs, services, and continuing community development initiatives to members of the media and constituents of Southern Leyte. Through this engagement, the University was able to highlight its commitment to knowledge sharing, public service, and responsive extension work, particularly through initiatives aligned with the SLSU CARES Program.
Representing the university were SLSU PESO Manager, Mr. Florencio Payac, Engr. Khorina O. Aguilar, Director for Research and Innovation; Engr. Jonelle H. Tablada, Director for Extension Services; and Dr. Francis Ann R. Sy, Vice President for Research, Innovation, Publication, and Extension. Their participation reflected SLSU’s continuing efforts to strengthen institutional linkages and communicate its programs more effectively to communities and partner stakeholders.

SLSU looks forward to deeper collaboration and meaningful partnerships with DILG Southern Leyte, media partners, local government units, and other stakeholders. The University remains committed to advancing programs that empower communities, promote sustainable development, and contribute to the progress of Southern Leyte.
