SLSU-San Juan Campus conducts training workshop on research proposal completion and paper refinement for Scopus Publication

Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus, through the Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (RIES), conducted a training workshop on the completion of proposals and refinement of completed papers for journal publication on December 16-17, 2024, at D and Y Apartelle Resort, Hinunangan, Southern Leyte. The workshop, under the guidance of Dr. Melvin S. Sarsale, Head of RIES, and Dr. Catherine M. Garcia, Coordinator for Research and Innovation, aimed to enhance the research capabilities of faculty-researchers by providing structured guidance on finalizing research proposals and refining completed studies for publication in academic journals.
The two-day workshop featured expert-led discussions and hands-on exercises on research structuring, manuscript refinement, and journal selection. Participants engaged in collaborative peer review activities and received constructive feedback to strengthen the quality of their research outputs. The sessions also emphasized adherence to ethical research practices and alignment with scholarly publication standards.
This initiative reflects the university’s commitment to fostering a strong research culture and supporting faculty in producing high-quality, publishable papers. By equipping researchers with the necessary skills and knowledge, the institution reinforces its role in advancing academic papers and promoting evidence-based research.
