SLSU Prepares for the Roll-Out of ePayment System: A Step Toward Seamless Digital Transactions

On October 6, 2025, the Office of the University Information Systems and Analytics (UISA) of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) conducted a briefing with key university officials in preparation for the roll-out of the SLSU Web-based Integrated Payment Engine (SWIPE) — the university’s new electronic payment system designed to simplify and modernize financial transactions for students, employees, and other stakeholders.
The activity was attended by University President Dr. Jude A. Duarte, together with the Vice President for Administration and Finance (VPAF), Vice President for Academic Affairs (VPAA), Vice President for Student Affairs and Services (VPSAS), the Budget Officer, Accountants, and Directors from various university offices.
Through SWIPE, students can conveniently process payments online via their Student Information System (SIS) accounts using a range of digital and over-the-counter options, including LANDBANK, debit cards, GCash, Maya, ShopeePay, and GrabPay. This integration ensures faster, more convenient, and more secure transactions for both students and university personnel.
This initiative underscores SLSU’s steadfast commitment to digital transformation, operational efficiency, and service excellence. By adopting SWIPE, the university aims to streamline financial processes, reduce manual transactions, and enhance transparency in its operations.
With the system now ready for deployment, the upcoming roll-out of SWIPE represents a major milestone in SLSU’s continuous pursuit of innovation and digital advancement in higher education services.
