SLSU hits 100% in REE Exam
Southern Leyte State University – College of Engineering and Technology marks another 100 percent passing percentage in the recently concluded Registered Electrical Engineers (REE) Licensure Examination held on September 2 – 3, 2016 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Lucena. A perfect six (6) successful examinees made SLSU proud for another historical record in the licensure examination. The new Registered Electrical Engineers are the following: Engr. Wilfred A. Calope, Engr. Mark Frederick C. Credo, Engr. Stephen Louis N. Gorduiz, Engr. Bon Guian S. Paloma, Engr. John Lloyd B. Rana, and Engr. Ronilo E. Vallentos. Perfect passing percentage for SLSU of REE Licensure Examination also happened last year and in 2008. These six guys did not only pass in the REE Licensure Examinations but also in the Registered Master Electricians held last September 4, 2016. Having two licenses at a time is very rewarding according to one of the passers, Engr. Ronilo E. Vallentos, in a text message.
The SLSU REE and RME Passers
The Board of Electrical Engineering chaired by Engr. Francis V. Mapile announced that out of 4,115 examinees, 2,817or 68. 46 %successfully passed the REE Licensure Examination. This result is released 3 working days after the last day of examination.
Engr. Gilberto P. Rosello, Head of Electrical Engineering and Technology, said that the achievement deserves for a celebration. A department meeting was called to deliberate the possible activities and schedule of the Recognition Program and Passers Parade.
