Hundreds attend job fair at SLSU

All roads lead to SLSU Main Campus as hundreds of prospective job hunters attend the 2^nd One-Stop Shop Job Fair 2016 on July 13. Job offers from local business partners and abroad were at stake. During her welcome talk, SLSU President Dr. Prose Ivy Yepes committed to institutionalize the annual conduct of job fair to help SLSU graduates and the entire Southern Leyte. The affair was graced by the POEA Regional Director Ms. Rosario P. Jervoso and the DOLE Provincial Director Ms. Fe Norma D. Valuis. DOLE has attributed the holding of job fairs and other government’s job facilitation programs in the continuing drop in the number of jobless people nationwide as shown by recent Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) survey. Aside from the hiring agencies, other services were also offered by LTO, NBI, PRC, Philhealth, SSS and PSA.
