SLSU TO Elementary Education Department Recognized for Outstanding Extension Project in Education
In a momentous recognition ceremony held on January 20, 2024, the Bachelor in Elementary Education Department of Southern Leyte State University Tomas Oppus Campus was honored for its exceptional Extension Project, named "Project PasaKa (Pagpahanas sa Kabataan sa Pagbasa) and Partner Ko, Agaka Ko Reading Programs." The esteemed project, spearheaded by Dr. Stella Marie D. Consul and Mr. Nonilon B. Consul, along with the dedicated faculty members, has been acknowledged as the Most Outstanding Reading Stakeholder by the Tomas Oppus District of the Department of Education, Schools Division of Southern Leyte.
The Project PasaKa and Partner Ko, Agaka Ko Reading Programs are initiatives that focus on enhancing literacy skills among the youth. "Pagpahanas sa Kabataan sa Pagbasa," translated as "Nurturing the Youth through Reading," encapsulates the essence of the programs.
