DBM shares 16M worth of DMS to SLSU
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) turned over its 16M worth of Document Management System (DMS) to Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) at the DBM, Boncodin Hall, General Solano St., San Miguel, Metro Manila on February 28, 2020.
The project is part of the requirements of Ms. Hazelle Villa- Asaldo, Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP)- Public Management Development Program (PMDP) Scholar, of PMDP Middle Managers Class. Assistant Secretary Clarito Alejandro Magsino, Ms. Asaldo’s adviser, helped in facilitating the project.
“The study attempts to introduce an approach or strategy to manage the university’s intangible asset that is knowledge and build modern decision systems to support substantial decision making since the Document Management and Electronic System (DoMES) Operational Framework in Southern Leyte State University includes features on how to find, publish, and transfer knowledge to users effectively,” Ms. Asaldo said.
“The project aims to enhance the organizational decision- making and learning through organizational memory and knowledge systems approach, a legacy I wanted to share as part of the administrative force for 16 years,” she added.
Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes, SLSU President, and Mr. Wendel E. Avisado, DBM Department Secretary, signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the presence of SLSU’s vice presidents— Dr. Valerio B. Cabalo, Dr. Frances Ann R. Sy, Dr. Annabelle M. Hufalar, and Dr. Juanita M. Costillas.
The system will be made available to all campuses of Southern Leyte State University.
