SLSU-TO RIES Office conducts In-house Review and Evaluation of Research and Extension Proposals

The SLSU-TO RIES Office successfully conducts an In-house Research, Innovation, and Extension Services (RIES) Review and Evaluation on August 20, 2024, via Zoom. The event brings together experts to assess the quality and impact of research and extension proposals of the faculty.
The panel of evaluators includes distinguished university leaders: Dr. Marie Khul C. Langub, University Director for Research & Innovation; Dr. Angel T. Sabusap, University Director for Extension Services; and Dr. Erlinda D. Tibus, Professor V in the English Education Program. Their collective expertise provides valuable insights to refine and enhance the research and extension projects presented.
The event is hosted by Mr. Rolino G. Alvarez, MAT, the newly designated RI Coordinator, who ensures a smooth and engaging session. The newly designated RIES Head, Dr. Mark Galdo, inspires participants with his welcome message, stating, "Research is the spark that ignites change; extension is the flame that spreads it. Together, they light the way to progress and innovation." This powerful statement sets the tone for a day of critical evaluation and collaborative growth.
During the event, Dr. Marie Khul Langub also announces the newly approved MRC guidelines under Research & Innovation. These guidelines are important for the future direction of research within the institution and will be discussed in detail during the upcoming RIES-MIS Orientation on August 28, 2024. This event aligns with SDG #4 Quality Education and SDG #9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.
