SLSU YouthMappers secure 15k worth of Financial Grant from MapaKalamidad.ph
The Southern Leyte State U YouthMappers has once again demonstrated their dedication and commitment to their duties and to the community by securing a significant financial grant of 15,000.00 pesos from MapaKalamidad.ph.
The grant, awarded by MapaKalamidad.ph, a platform dedicated to enhancing disaster awareness and preparedness, comes as recognition of the outstanding efforts of the SLSU YouthMappers in contributing to disaster resilience initiatives.
The proposal, titled "Enhancing Disaster Awareness and Preparedness in Sogod: A Geo-Resilience Outreach Initiative," outlines a comprehensive plan to contribute in the disaster preparedness in Sogod, Southern Leyte. Through the strategic utilization of technology and collaborative partnerships, the initiative aims to develop Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials, conduct specialized training sessions, and foster cooperation among various stakeholders.
The proposal has been selected from a pool of submissions to receive funding from MapaKalamidad.ph. This recognition underscores the importance and relevance of the SLSU YouthMappers' efforts in addressing critical issues such as disaster resilience and community preparedness.
With the support of the grant, the SLSU YouthMappers are poised to make a significant impact in Sogod and beyond, contributing to a more resilient and prepared community in the face of natural disasters.
