SLSU MCC RIES holds Presentation of Research, Innovation and Extension Services Targets

On February 21, 2024, the Research, Innovation and Extension Services Office of the SLSU-Maasin City Campus successfully presented their targets for the year. The program began with prayer and was followed by a presentation by Dr. Magdaleno T. Samaco, Jr., Head of RIES. During the presentation, he discussed the target for research, innovation and extension services and highlighted the involvement of students and faculty members. Dr. Jonathan J. Palco, the Research and Innovation Coordinator, then presented the incentive rewards for faculty who published research studies. Ms Juvenal F. Sumaya, the Extension Services Coordinator, showed the faculty workload units according to the role of the approved extension proposal.

Moreover, the main objective of the presentation is to generate research outputs that align with the SLSU’s drive to be a leading Higher Education Institution (HEI) and to implement community engagement programs that result in new knowledge, patents, or improve the quality of life of the targeted communities. The success of this presentation would not have been possible without the support of our Campus Director, Dr. Frederick C. Aniga, and the faculty and staff of SLSU-Maasin City Campus.
