SLSU-San Juan Campus launches automotive system training series to strengthen PNP 2nd SLPMF capabilities
Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus inaugurated an extension-training project entitled "Revving up Excellence: Providing Automotive System Training for the Philippine National Police." The initiative, hosted at the Industrial Technology Department on February 21, 2024, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP) 2nd Southern Leyte Provincial Mobile Forces Company, is designed to equip the mobile force with advanced vehicle maintenance, repair, and operation skills.
Spearheaded by Engr. Jowitz C. Cero, the program acknowledges the crucial role vehicles play in maintaining public safety and aims to fortify the rapid response and effectiveness of the PNP Mobile Force in diverse and challenging environments. The training workshops, scheduled every Wednesday and to conclude in mid-May 2024, encompass comprehensive automotive sessions, hands-on workshops, safety protocol instructions, vehicle inspection and assessment techniques, and guidance on efficient resource management.
PLTCOL. Rolando C. Dellezo of the Philippine National Police 2nd Southern Leyte Provincial Mobile Forces Company expressed gratitude for the partnership, emphasizing its significance in fostering a law enforcement environment that is efficient and proactive. The initiative reflects the institution's commitment to ensuring the well-being and security of the Filipino people.
This collaborative effort between the SLSU-San Juan Campus and the PNP underscores the importance of academic institutions working hand-in-hand with law enforcement agencies to address specific needs and contribute to the overall safety and security of the community.
