Southern Leyte State U - Hinunangan Leads 2-Day Training Workshop on Digitalizing Government Records
Southern Leyte State University Hinunangan Campus, in collaboration with its extension services, is spearheading a thr initiative to modernized local government operations.
The training-workshop, under the program entitled "Capacitating Local Officials in the Utilization of Registry of Inhabitants Systems," runs from February 8-9, 2024.
Participated by Barangay Secretaries and DILG Staff from Hinunangan, Southern Leyte, this activity focuses on imparting crucial knowledge and skills related to the utilization of the registry of inhabitants systems. Led by esteemed resource speakers, including Madelyn B. Manun-og, Jonathan Pasayan, and Mondani R. Manun-og and facilitated by the extension coordinator Dario Aledro and BSAB intern student Maica Senones the workshop covers vital aspects such as system installation, creation of user and settings configuration, operation of the system and, data manipulation.
The developed systems offer practical solutions to the challenges faced by these units, ensuring compliance with the Local Government Code (Sec 394) in their registry of inhabitants. This initiative aligns with the sustainable development goals of promoting good governance and fostering innovation. Empowering local government units to deliver more efficient, citizen-centric public services, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development and progress of the Municipality of Hinunangan and its barangays.
