SLSU-Bontoc upcycles beauty for meaningful Christmas display
Student artists of the SLSU-Bontoc Haraya Visual Art Club came together to create a new perspective in presenting the nativity scene.
The Nativity, more than just the glistening lights and decors, reminds us that Christmas is not only the birth of our Saviour but of our coming together as a Community. The upcycled artwork, inspired by stained glass art in churches, is repurposed damaged glass panels from Typhoon Odette and old plywood sheets from a renovation project in SLSU-Bontoc.
Thanks to Mr. Peter June Dadios, SLSU-Bontoc Head for Student Auxiliary Services (SAS), for dedicating his time to supervising the budding student artists and the campus' handymen who made the vision come true! The artwork displayed outside Bontoc Municipal Hall will be up until January 2024.
