Southern Leyte State University Faculty Showcases Research at International Conference

Rannie M. Sumacot, the lone faculty member representing Southern Leyte State University, Maasin City Campus, has garnered attention for his significant contribution to the 3rd International Multidisciplinary Conference on Engineering, Technology, Education, Management, and Development Studies, which took place on November 28-29, 2023.

Sumacot presented his research titled "Association Analysis using Apriori Algorithm of GAN-Expanded Student Performance Dataset." This study explores the innovative use of the Apriori Algorithm to analyze a GAN-expanded (Generative Adversarial Network) student performance dataset, seeking to unveil fresh insights into student learning patterns and academic performance.

The international conference, initiated by Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges and in collaboration with Rajamangala University of Technology Srivijaya, Songkhla, Thailand, and Polytechnic University of the Philippines, revolved around the theme "Responsible Innovation: Bridging the Gap between Research Integrity and Emerging Technologies."
