EVSU taps SLSU-Bontoc Faculty as Agriculture Licensure Exam Reviewers
As Agriculture graduates level up their preparations for the upcoming 2023 Agriculture Professional Licensure Examination, SLSU-Bontoc Faculty from the Department of Agricultural Sciences were tapped to serve as reviewers on an In-person Agriculture Review Class organized by the Eastern Visayas State University-Burauen Campus on November 9-10, 2023.
Dr. Carlo M. Cabillo, who recently finished his Ph.D. in Horticulture from the National Chung Hsing University, Taiwan, along with Mr. Noel E. Celeste, Program Chair for Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA), Mr. Ericjhon P. Hinayon,Program Chair for Bachelor of Agricultural Technology (BAT), were engaged in a productive discussion with over 35 participants who aspire to join the league of licensed Agriculturists in the country. Participants were given review lectures on key concepts in agriculture, including practices and challenges. They were coached and given tips to get through what could be a nerve-challenging examination experience.
The review class emerged to be a success. Thanks to the effective sharing of learnings by the reviewers and the participants’ enthusiasm. Future collaborations between the two institutions in strengthening their agriculture programs are currently in talks.
The Agriculture Licensure Examination, as set by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), the licensing and regulatory agency of the national government for the practice of regulated professions, will be on November 20-22, 2023.
