Southern Leyte State U, Global Health Focus forge partnership to advance research excellence

Southern Leyte State University and Global Health Focus have entered into a partnership on May 26, 2023 through signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to advance research excellence.
The partnership aims to address global research inequity while re-strategizing the institutional research approach at the university, with the ultimate goal of producing a targeted number of high-quality papers and securing research grants.
The Achieving University Excellence Through Research program, which will be jointly implemented, seeks to bridge the gap in research opportunities and resources on a global scale.
By fostering an environment of collaboration and knowledge exchange, the partnership will empower the researchers of the university to make substantial contributions to their respective fields and address pressing global challenges.
Under the MOA, Southern Leyte State U and Global Health Focus will work hand in hand to enhance research capacity, facilitate the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and promote collaborative research initiatives.
This strategic alliance will pave the way for university researchers to access a wider network of resources, cutting-edge technologies, and international research opportunities, enabling them to broaden the impact of their work and elevate the university's research profile.
Dr. Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, representing Global Health Focus, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting the potential for meaningful collaborations and breakthrough discoveries that can emerge from this joint endeavor.
