5 Fisheries graduates pass the 2022 October Fisheries Technologist board exam
Five (5) alumni of the Fisheries program offered in Southern Leyte State University-Bontoc Campus passed the October 2022 Fisheries Technologists Licensure Examination as released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Wedensday, October 12.
Marita Nerona, Jaymar Abarico, Shane Chato, Alex Tumadlas, and Jovie Marie Alfante are among the 716 takers who successfully passed the recent Fisheries Technologist board exam. There were a tota of 1,996 examinees, PRC says.
Southern Leyte State U garnered an overall rating of 45.45%, a 15.90% increase from the last performance of the University during the October 2021 Fisheries Technologists Licensure Exam.
It can be recalled that only two (2) from Bontoc Campus passed where the University obtained a school rate 50% and a national passing percentage of 29.55%.
Jean Margaret Badong from Ilolo State College of Fisheries and John Rey Rasgo from the University of the Philippines-Visayas topped the exam with 86.25% rating.
Further, PRC announced that the Fisheries Technologist licensure exams were conducted on October 6-7, 2022 in testing centers nationwide including NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
