Tomas Oppus Campus holds activities to honor 122nd PH Civil Service Anniv

Southern Leyte State University-Tomas Oppus Campus celebrated the 122nd Anniversary of the Philippine Civil service on September 21, 2022 with different activities designed to highlight the employees as the new servant-heroes.

The entire employees of the campus participated in the Zumba dance held in front of the Administration Building. Further, a celebratory program as well as indoor teambuilding activities.

University President Dr. Prose Ivy G. Yepes graced the activity and emphasized on her message the significance of the University employees as servant-heroes and the "need to perform our duties as we are called."

The employees were divided into two teams--Bluetooth and Wifi. The former won after the four indoor games which were very "engaging" and "fun" as described by one of the employees Judy Paz on her Facebook Post.

Meanwhile, Campus Director Dr. Constantino Medilo, Jr. highlighted on his message the Tomas Oppus Campus spirit--fighting and never surrendering.

With this annual commemoration on the employee’s roles and duties as public servants, the Campus made sure that everybody lives up to their purpose who will continuously become servant-heroes.
