Southern Leyte Stare U conducts advanced first aid training, partners with PDRRMO
In partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), the Office of the Environmental Management - Disaster Risk Reduction Management spearheads the conduct of Advanced First Aid on August 16 - 19, 2022 for the SLSU- Emergency Response Volunteer (SERVE- SLSU) Corps and new volunteer recruits.
The four-day course aims to hone skills and competencies in responding to medical emergency situations. Moreover, it seeks to further capacitate the volunteer emergency responders through understanding advanced first aid for volunteer and humanitarian service.
It was graced by Dr. Danilo L. Atienza and Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) Staff: Caesar A. Gamboa, Marlon D. Dagcutan, Herminigildo T. Jacobe Jr. served as instructors of the training. The course - training is one of the activities prepared to further capacitate the volunteer emergency responders.
The same training will be conducted on the external campuses of the university.This initiative is in line with the University's core values: service and social responsibility.
