Southern Leyte State U ranks 67th in AD Scientific Index’s PH Rankings for 2022
Out of 138 universities in the Philippines, Southern Leyte State University ranked 67th in the Alper-Doger (AD) Scientific Index’s Top Universities in the Philippines 2022 list, which is based on the productivity and citation impact of publications made by a university’s scientists and researchers.
The AD Scientific Index ranks individual scientists and researchers based on their total H-index, i10-index, and citation scores in Google Scholar over the last five years.
Southern Leyte State U was placed 68th in the last 5 years of both H index and i10 index.
Dr. Ian A. Navarrete from Southern Leyte State U-Hinunangan Campus tops the best scientist in the University with the highest citation score among the four scientists recognized in the AD Scientific Index.
Dr. Navarrete’s study on "A review of soil degradation in the Philippines" with Dr. Victor Asio, Prof. Reinhold Jahn, Dr. Frederico Perez, and Dr. Sergio M. Abit, Jr. is listed on the AD Scientific Index as his most cited article.
Alongside Dr. Navarrete are Dewoowoogen Porras Baclayon from Southern Leyte State U-Bontoc Campus, Dr. Mary Ann Jilly R. Ramirez from Southern Leyte State U-Main Campus, and Dr. Joey A. Caraquil from Southern Leyte State U-Tomas Oppus Campus.

The AD Scientific Index ranking and analysis system is based on the scientific performance and the added value of the scientific productivity of individual scientists. It also ranks institutions based on the scientific characteristics of their affiliated members.
