Tomas Oppus campus staff, partners engage in 'bayanihan' to clear campus of debris
Some members of the Alpha Phi Omega (APO) fraternity, together with Southern Leyte State University alumni and staff of the General Services Offices of Tomas Oppus Campus conducted a cleanup drive in SLSU Tomas Oppus Campus on Tuesday, February 1.
Typhoon Odette left a trail of debris and garbage when it made a landfall in Southern Leyte. Tomas Oppus is one of the municipalities in the province that was severely affected by the wrath of the typhoon.
Tomas Oppus Campus also served as an evacuation center to affected residents in the municipality.
This initiative aims to turn the campus back to its normal state and to pave the way for faster rehabilitation of electricity.
The general cleanup drive was organized by Southern Leyte State University Tomas Oppus Campus which became a special operation as it engaged to 'bayanihan'.
