SLSU produces 26 licensed social workers in August 2021 board

Twenty six (26) social work students of Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) Maasin City Campus passed the August 2021 Licensure Exam for Social Workers, garnering an overall institutional passing average of 42.62%, with a 42.86% rate for first time takers.

With the results released by Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on September 2, this is higher than the national passing percentage of 37.75%, where only 612 out of 1,621 examinees made it to the cut.

Topping this year’s batch of social worker is Digna Millondaga de Guzman from the University of the Philippines Diliman, gaining an average of 83%. Meanwhile, La Verdad Christian College ranks first in the top performing school with a passing percentage of 100%.

The licensure exam for Social Workers was conducted in the cities of Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga in August 2021, PRC announced.
