SLSU-San Juan conducts orientation on policy and procedures for research ethical approval
Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus, through its Research, Innovation, and Extension Services Office, conducted an orientation on the Policy and Procedures for Research Ethical Approval on October 23, 2024. The session was led by Dr. Ludito V. Ramirez, Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee (UREC), along with Mr. Joshua Edson G. Ordiz and Ms. Glecil Joy L. Dalupo, UREC members.
The orientation aimed to inform faculty members about the ethical guidelines and protocols essential for conducting research within the institution. Key topics included the ethical review process, submission requirements, and researchers' responsibilities in ensuring ethical compliance.
Participants are expected to apply the guidelines presented, ensuring that their research complies with both institutional and national ethical standards. This initiative reflects SLSU's commitment to upholding the highest standards of research ethics, promoting integrity and responsible practices in academic research.
