SLSU-San Juan Campus conducts Online In-House Review and Evaluation of RIES PPAs
Southern Leyte State University-San Juan Campus, through its Research, Innovation, and Extension Services Office (RIES), conducted a successful online in-house review and evaluation of programs, projects, and activities on October 30, 2024, via Zoom. The event served as a platform for the joint review of both research and extension proposals, reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering academic and community-oriented advancements. Faculty researchers and extensionists showcased their dedication through a series of presentations aimed at enhancing SLSU’s role in driving local development.
The review highlighted ten research and two extension proposals, and three extension progress reports. Each presentation underscored the value of research and extension in addressing the evolving needs of the community. The evaluation panel, comprising Dr. Marie Khul C. Langub, Director of Research and Innovation; Ms. Rujube H. Hermano, Head of University Research Operations; and Ms. Adelfa C. Diola, Science Research Specialist II, provided expert feedback to guide proponents in refining their work to better align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This feedback process allowed for practical adjustments, ensuring each project’s relevance and impact within the community.
