SLSU Bontoc conducts 2025 Strategic Planning Workshop
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) Bontoc Campus conducted its Annual Strategic Planning Workshop and Target Setting for Calendar Year 2025 on November 18-19, 2024, at Kissbone Cove Clubhouse and Beach Resort in Saint Bernard, Southern Leyte.
The #StratPlan2025, organized by Planning Officer Ms. Maria Fe Novere Amor, was spearheaded by the campus's top management team. This included Campus Director Gladys L. Pascual, Faculty Dean Mr. Jimmy Salamida, Head of Student Affairs and Services (SAS) Mr. Peter June Dadios, and Administrative Officer V Mr. Erwin P. Remojo, who presented their respective accomplishments in 2024 within their functional areas.
Campus Director Gladys Pascual, “My goal for this campus is to be recognized as a bold and dynamic institution that embraces partnerships and seizes opportunities,” stated. “I am truly grateful for your support throughout the years as your Campus Director, and I hope our collective commitment will serve as a driving force for our success,” she expressed.
The workshop aimed to analyze and address the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of the respective administrative offices and Support to Operations (STOs) units, with the goal of resolving current challenges and mitigating potential issues for Calendar Year 2025.
Administrative Officer V, Mr. Erwin Remojo, who facilitated the workshop, gave emphasis on the importance of conducting SWOT Analysis to identify organizational issues and enhance the delivery of services to its clientele.
“SWOT analysis also emphasizes identifying ‘opportunities’ which are vital for an organization’s growth,” he added. “It involves recognizing favorable occasions or partnerships that could contribute to our campus's success and help achieve its goals.”
Ms. Amor facilitated the development of the Action Plan for Calendar Year 2025, aligning it with the 2025 LUPAD Targets established during the university-wide strategic planning.
The event was successfully attended by key personnel, including the heads of Finance and Administrative Units: Jonathan Kuizon (Accountant II), Gemma Catigan (Budget Officer II), Basilides Geraldo (Cashier), Giebert Olais (Designated Procurement Officer), Rosuell Tablada (Supply Officer), Webel Glenn Dublado (Head, BARGO), and Shanette Joy Vivien Amador (Records Officer/PASCOM Designate).
Also present were STO representatives Mercy Jadraque (HRMO II), Junnie Ryh Sumacot (Head, CISA), and Redney Solomon (Head, Quality Assurance), along with department heads Alieza Del Socorro (Marine Biology), Angelica Gerong (Fisheries), and Sherwin Caday (Information Technology).Representing the SAS Units were Lowella Prado (Librarian), Cherry Ann Ceniza (Nurse), Sheila Mae Amparo (Scholarship Coordinator), and Josh Montederamos (SSC President).
As #StratPlan2025 concluded, the faculty and staff united with a shared commitment to strategic growth and improved service delivery. SLSU Bontoc Campus remains dedicated to achieving its 2025 goals, fostering collaboration and innovation across all departments to better serve its stakeholders.
