The WorldSkills Philippines competition is widely known as a key platform for assessing the competencies of Filipino learners against international industry standards. It also aims to recognize the skills excellence of young industry workers and graduates of technical-vocational institutions, while promoting innovation, discipline, and global competitiveness in the country’s future workforce. Over the years, participants from Region VIII have consistently brought distinction to Eastern Visayas through strong performances in the Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC), as well as in ASEAN and WorldSkills competitions.

Mr. Flores’ success was made possible through the guidance and mentorship of his coach, Mr. Joedee Mark Rodriguez, whose unwavering support and expertise played a crucial role in this achievement. Following this regional victory, Mr. Flores is officially set to advance to the Philippine National Skills Competition to represent Eastern Visayas on the national stage.
