BEED retains Level IV Status, MSIT attains Level III Reaccreditation for AACCUP
Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) once again affirms its compliance with nationally recognized quality standards and its commitment to continuous improvement through the successful accreditation of the Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) and the Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) following the AACCUP Accreditation Survey Visit conducted on October 13–15, 2025. This achievement marks another milestone in the University’s continuing pursuit of quality, excellence, and accountability in higher education.
The Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd) program was granted Level IV Retained Status, the highest level of program accreditation, signifying its sustained excellence, program maturity, and consistent adherence to national standards in teacher education.
Meanwhile, the Master of Science in Information Technology (MSIT) program successfully attained Level III Reaccredited Status, confirming its continued compliance with AACCUP quality standards and its commitment to continuous improvement in graduate education.
These accreditation outcomes reflect the collective efforts and dedication of the faculty members, administrators, students, alumni, and institutional partners of both programs, strengthened by the effective coordination and implementation of the University’s quality assurance mechanisms.
Southern Leyte State University extends its sincere appreciation to the AACCUP accreditors, headed by Dr. Reynaldo T. Gelido, AACCUP Coordinator, for their invaluable guidance, professionalism, and constructive recommendations, which will serve as vital inputs for further institutional and program development.
This achievement further reinforces SLSU’s dedication to the continuous enhancement of its academic and educational processes through quality-driven instruction, innovation, and sustainability-oriented academic practices, thereby directly contributing to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
