SLSU holds Commitment Meeting for Research Champions

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) is on a bold mission to become Transformative, High-Impact, and Excellent (THE) University globally distinguished, research-driven, and transformative.
On February 6, 2025, 30 Research Champions gathered for a Commitment Meeting held both face-to-face and virtually for participants from external campuses led by Doc Don Eliseo Lucero-Prisno III, NRCP RD Leader, reinforcing SLSU’s pursuit of high-impact, globally recognized research.
These Research Champions are the trailblazers faculty leading groundbreaking studies that push the boundaries of research and innovation. Their work spans diverse fields, contributing not just to academic growth but to meaningful solutions that impact society.
Aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), SLSU’s research efforts focus on Quality Education (SDG 4), Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Global Partnerships (SDG 17), and Good Health and Well-Being (SDG 3). With these champions leading the charge, SLSU is not just aiming for excellence it’s building a lasting legacy of global impact.
