SLSU holds Pre-Departure Orientation, Send-Off Ceremony for Exchange Program with TVU

The External Linkages and International Affairs office conducted a Pre-departure Orientation and Send-Off Ceremony for the Cultural Exchange Program and Short-term Faculty Exchange Program participants on October 10, 2023, at the SLSU Board Room. The participants will depart for Vietnam from October 16, 2023, until October 31, 2023.

The partnership between Tra Vinh University (TVU) and Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) for the Cultural Exchange Program signifies the shared commitment to academic excellence, cultural understanding, and international collaboration.

Students and faculty participating in the program can expect to benefit from TVU's rich educational environment, where they will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse community of learners and explore the unique cultural landscape of Vietnam.

The event was graced by the presence of the University President, Dr. Jude A. Duarte; the Vice President for Student Auxillary Services, Dr. Annabelle M. Hufalar; the Vice President for Administration and Finance, Dr. Dewoowoogen Baclayon; Director of External Linkages and International Affairs, Dr. Ingrid M. Uy, Tomas Oppus Campus Director, Dr. Constantino Medilo, Dean of College of Engineering, Engr. Julius Paler, Head of Department Teacher Education, Dr. Josefina Carpentero.

By bringing together SLSU students in Vietnam, an ASEAN country, the program encourages sharing cultural experiences and traditions, promoting intercultural communication and mutual understanding.
