“The trail must continue”: SLSU continues its streak towards attaining IZN
The International Affairs Office (IAO) of Southern Leyte State University recognizes the importance of global engagement as it continues to conduct development plan series for the year 2021.
Such a series of developmental activities will concentrate on the university-wide orientation of the operations manual and Internationalization (IZN) officials’ capacity building. In order to increase mobility exposure, collaborations, and partnership beyond borders, this month-long activity aims to intensify the strategies of implementation to fully integrate IZN to programs, projects, and activities of the University. Furthermore, the activity shall conduct a university-wide orientation seminar on the IZN operations, policies, and guidelines to SLSU officials, faculty, staff, and students, and organize and harmonize the conduct of university-wide quarterly thematic IZN activities.
Likewise, the conduct of the development plan series focuses on other functions through the introduction of IZN initiatives and services for international collaborations, cooperation, partnership, and diplomatic relations to be manifested in different IZN activities geared towards students, faculty, staff, programs, and institutional mobility.
In the last quarter of 2020, the University approved the operations manual together with the organizational framework of IAO under the office of Executive Operations and External Affairs (EOEA). Subsequently, the Office of the University President disseminated the BOR Resolution no. 176 for the approved IZN Framework and BOR Resolution no. 177 for the approved Operations Manual this first quarter of 2021. Thus, this year marks the full implementation towards a functional, integrated, and harmonized IZN to fulfill the roadmap of the University.
