Tomas Oppus Campus

Southern Leyte State University–Tomas Oppus, popularly known as SLSU–TO, was established on March 7, 2004 by virtue of Republic Act No. 9261, which integrated two state colleges in Southern Leyte. These were the Tomas Oppus Normal College (TONC) located in the Municipality of Tomas Oppus and the Southern Leyte State College of Science and Technology (SLSCST) situated in the Municipality of Sogod.

Southern Leyte State University–Tomas Oppus envisions becoming a center of excellence in education in Southern Leyte and operates with the mission of ensuring the holistic development of the human person through professional and advanced instruction in the arts, sciences, humanities, and education.

Southern Leyte State University–Tomas Oppus is one of the external campuses of Southern Leyte State University. For its undergraduate programs (UGS), the campus offers:

• Bachelor of Secondary Education
  majors in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and Filipino
• Bachelor of Physical Education
• Bachelor of Elementary Education
• Bachelor of Science in Business Administration
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology.

In addition, the campus operates a Junior Laboratory High School for Grades 7 to 10.

For graduate programs (GS), SLSU–TO offers:

• Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) with majors in Social Studies, Science, Filipino, English, Mathematics, and Educational Management
• Doctor of Education (EdD) major in Educational Management.
