Tomas Oppus Campus partners with VSU's DevCom to provide radio lessons for Odette victims through school-on-the-air project

Southern Leyte State University partnered with the Department of Development Communication (DDC) in Visayas State University (VSU) for the implementation of the radio school project of Tomas Oppus Campus.

The "School on the Air - Sa Kahanginan Ikaw ang Bida (SKIB)" aims to promote the psychosocial well-being of 75 household heads, wives, sons, and daughters who were victims of the recent super typhoon Rai, locally known as "Odette" in Malitbog town, Southern Leyte.

The participants were expected to learn how to maintain positive mental health, physical health, spiritual well-being, and environmental protection, and hone some skills in creating and performing dramas relating to their experiences during the typhoon through the school-on-the-air project.

It can be recalled that on May 23 this year, Tomas Oppus Campus was able to partner with the Municipal Social Work Department (MSWD) of Malitbog for the first phase of the implementation of SKIB School-on-the-Air project.
