The Southern Leyte State U (SLSU) – Hinunangan Campus greeted the eagerly awaited Intramural Meet 2023 on September 15, 2023, with a beautiful opening ceremony that started with a Holy Mass and was followed by a vibrant parade and a dynamic program.

The lively Mass Dance competition of the four Houses of Hogwarts heralded the celebration, which took place on the campus grounds.

The day's celebrations began early morning, igniting the atmosphere with anticipation and togetherness. Students from SLSU-Hinunangan Campus (SLSU-HC), enthusiastic faculty members, and campus personnel worked together to make the inaugural ceremony joyful. 

Noel Bugais, the esteemed Administrative Officer of SLSU-HC, delivered an inspiring speech during the brief program. He emphasized the profound significance of such activities for the holistic development of students and the entire university community.

"In the spirit of unity and sportsmanship, we gather here today to celebrate not just competition but also friendship and personal growth. These events serve as platforms to discover our strengths, nurture our talents, and build lasting memories," Engr. Bugais declared, inspiring everyone present to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lay ahead.

As the first day of Intramural Meet 2023 progressed, the Visual Arts competition was held at the Multipurpose Academic Building (MAB), showing the amazing talents of SLSU students in several categories, including photography, painting, and pencil rendering. Athletes competed fiercely in track and field competitions on campus grounds, showcasing their athletic ability and tenacity.

The Intramural Meet 2023, intricately bound with traditions and a spirit of solidarity, promises to be a memorable occasion for the SLSU-Hinunangan community. The days ahead promise exhilarating competitions, astounding talent showcases, and a common quest for excellence.
