SLSU–San Juan Campus Faculty Wins Best Oral Presenter Award at 3rd Nemesio Prudente International Research Conference
Dr. Ines G. Falcon of Southern Leyte State University - San Juan Campus received the Best Oral Presenter Award at the 3rd Nemesio Prudente International Research Conference, held on November 14–15, 2025 via Zoom teleconferencing. Her achievement highlights SLSU’s continued excellence in producing impactful research aligned with sustainable development goals.
Dr. Falcon presented her study titled “Mobile Marketing and Tourism’s Information Accessibility through an E-Tourism Platform for Municipalities,” a research initiative co-authored with Mr. Kenneth Jay L. Dugaria. The paper explores how mobile marketing strategies and digital tourism platforms can expand local information accessibility, enhance visitor engagement, and support sustainable tourism development across municipalities.
With the conference anchored on the theme “Beyond 2030: Interdisciplinary Approaches to Achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs),” Dr. Falcon’s work contributes to ongoing conversations on leveraging digital innovation to promote inclusive economic growth and resilient local industries.
Her recognition at this international gathering underscores SLSU’s strong research culture and its commitment to fostering scholarly outputs that respond to emerging societal needs. The university continues to encourage its faculty to pursue studies that support evidence-based policymaking and sustainable community development.
