SLSU-San Juan Faculty Clinches Best Paper Award at RGRC 2025

Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) – San Juan Campus faculty member Dr. Catherine M. Garcia won the Best Paper Award under the Quality and Inclusive Education track during the Recoletos Graduate Research Conference 2025, held on August 29–30, 2025, at the University of San Jose–Recoletos Main Campus.
Dr. Garcia presented the paper titled “Change Management Practices of Higher Education Institutions in the Province of Southern Leyte,” which was co-authored with Dr. Teresa H. Inot and Engr. Randy K. Salazar. The study examined institutional strategies in navigating organizational change to strengthen governance and maintain academic quality in higher education.
The research highlighted the importance of leadership, innovation, and inclusive practices in fostering institutional resilience and ensuring access to quality education amid evolving academic demands. This recognition affirms SLSU–San Juan Campus’s commitment to research excellence and knowledge-sharing in the higher education sector.
The event aligns with Sustainable Development Goals (SGD) No. 4 (Quality Education), SDG No. 10 (Reduced Inequalities), and SDG No. 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
