SLSU-TO Graduate Programs Receive COPC Approval
Southern Leyte State University–Tomas Oppus (SLSU-TO) Campus has officially received approval for the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) for its graduate programs, marking a significant milestone in the campus’ continuing efforts to strengthen quality graduate education.
As approved under CEB Resolution No. R214-2025, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted COPC approval for the following programs for Academic Year 2025–2026:
- Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in Mathematics
- Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) major in Educational Management
- Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) major in Educational Management
University officials emphasized that the approval has already been granted, while the campus is currently awaiting the official release of the printed COPC certificates from CHED. Despite this, the approval itself affirms that the programs fully comply with national standards for curriculum, faculty qualifications, facilities, and academic delivery.
Once the certificates are officially issued, the campus will release a subsequent announcement to formally present the documents. In the meantime, SLSU-TO continues its preparations for program implementation and enrollment for the upcoming academic year.
This development highlights the University’s ongoing pursuit of academic excellence and institutional compliance with CHED policies and standards. This supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, which promotes inclusive and equitable quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for all.
