SLSU Bontoc joins FMA-9 Sardines Workshop – Phase II

From May 27 to May 31, 2024, Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) - Bontoc Campus, represented by Mr. Jimmy E. Salamida, participated in the Formulation of the Fisheries Management Plan (FMP) for Sardines Workshop – Phase 2 held at Villa Paraiso, Poblacion, Mambajao, Camiguin Province. The workshop was part of the ongoing initiative under Fisheries Management Area 9 (FMA-9) to develop sustainable strategies for sardine fisheries. Organized and supported by the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), the FishCoRe Project, and key stakeholders, this collaborative event aimed to refine and finalize fisheries management measures to safeguard marine ecosystems and support coastal livelihoods.
