Successful Training of Trainers on Multi-Species Freshwater Aquaculture

From May 28 to May 31, 2024, the Bureau of Fisheries & Aquatic Resources (BFAR) Regional Office No. 8 conducted a Training of Trainers on Multi-Species Freshwater Aquaculture at the BFAR-Regional Freshwater Aquaculture Production Center in Brgy. Dist. III, Babatngon, Leyte. The program focused on enhancing hatchery and grow-out management skills among fisheries practitioners. Participants included LGU technicians, private stakeholders, and two representatives from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU) - Bontoc: Mr. Daniel Pantoja and Ms. Angelica E. Gerong.

The training featured lectures and hands-on sessions, aiming to boost regional aquaculture capabilities and sustainable fisheries practices.
