A Breath for the Lungs of Our Coast: Mangrove Planting in Malitbog

A successful mangrove planting activity was held in Malitbog, Southern Leyte, in collaboration with LGU Malitbog and Southern Leyte State University - Bontoc Campus. With the expertise of Ms. Janine Dimzon and Mr. Ryan Tomol, the event highlighted the ecological importance of mangroves in protecting coastlines, supporting biodiversity, and mitigating climate change. The activity not only involved tree planting but also an educational component on mangrove ecology. It marked a significant step toward sustainable coastal management.
