Eight students from Southern Leyte State University (SLSU), together with their advisers, will participate in the 3rd National Youth Summit of the Alliance for Green Philippines, Inc. on November 19-23, 2017 at the Teachers Camp, Baguio City.

They will be given an opportunity to develop their leadership and communication skills through the upcoming activities and projects that they would initiate. These activities and projects eye on mitigating the impact of climate change.

These students will undergo the three stages of the program. It includes building from structured activities to case analysis and culminating in presentations and critique of action plans.

All of the speeches, discussions, and workshops of the summit will revolve on the theme: “Empowering the Youth to Become Green Ambassadors as Leaders in Building Green Campuses and Resilient Communities.”

At the end of the summit, they will be equipped with a Green Ambassador Tool Kit and are expected to collaborate with the university and local authorities to incorporate the agreed action plans to the activities in the university and their respective communities.
